Welcome to MyCSU!
July 14 - Travel to Mystical India with Bijah Gibson
Greetings from India Fellow Rams! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I am halfway around the world in India, traveling with a corps from CSU filming, photographing, and writing about our trip. We are following two engineering students who are installing Envirofit's new cookstoves. By distributing these cookstoves, CSU and Envirofit are working to significantly reduce indoor air pollution deaths and to improve the lives of people in developing countries. Come learn about our travels!
June - ROAD TRIP!
May 26 to June 6, Ram volleyball was on the road - in Europe!
Team photo with Lake Geneva and Montreux, Switzerland as a backdrop.
The team traveled to Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Switzerland, playing seven matches in 11 days, all while making time for sightseeing and great cultural experiences.
- The first stop was Venice, Italy, for sightseeing, practice and a match with San Dona, an Italian professional team.
- Next on the itinerary was Slovenia for matches against the Slovenian Youth National Team in Ljubljana and the Slovenian Junior National Team in Koper.
- Pula, Croatia was the next stop, including a match against OTP Banka, another pro team.
- Then it was back to Italy to play the Italian Youth National Team in the town of Settimo Torinese, near Torino where the 2006 Winter Olympics were held.
- Montreux, Switzerland was the location of the final match against the Swiss National team. There the Rams also had the opportunity to watch some of the best teams in the world - Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Cuba, China and Serbia - play in the Montreux Volley Masters tournament.
This fall the Rams will be defending the Mountain West regular-season crown and hosting one of the four NCAA regionals in December.
May 7 - Countdown to summer with Kyle Bell
Greetings! I hope everyone is surviving the countdown to summer, and in the case of the seniors, graduation. This seems like the time of year where students seem to get a little on edge and can feel the pressure of finals breathing down their neck. I try to stay away from the library if at all possible. It’s almost like you can see a cloud of built up stress hovering right above. Just kidding.
May 2 - Equine Science
Now entering the arena we have Kayla Cochran, a senior equine science major and 2004 Boettcher Scholar!
Kayla's CSU is Equine Science
For Kayla, CSU has been an amazing place to spend the last four years. She studied abroad for a semester in Ireland, she got to spend the last year in a horse training class at CSU’s equine center, and she even got to show the horse she trained (named Houston) in the Legends of Ranching Sale in April. For this small-town cowgirl, life couldn’t get any better!
So, saddle up partner, and take a look at Kayla’s MyCSU!
April 24 - Student Apparel Design Show
Although cities like Milan, Paris, and New York are known to be fashion capitals of the world, Fort Collins and CSU are about to make a BIG fashion statement!
Garrett's CSU is Apparel Design
Garrett Waddell, a senior majoring in Apparel and Merchandising, is part of the committee that is planning the 2008 Student Apparel Design Show, Avant Garden: Where Couture is Cultivated. For Garrett, this show has cultivated some big challenges, but it’s sure to bring a lot of success and excitement!

April 17 - Game Time with Kyle Bell
The spring game is this Saturday, and as a player it’s always fun to get to this point of the year. All of the off-season training and all of the work and sweat in spring ball that you put in as a player kind of all come together for this final culmination of the spring. The game is always a lot of fun and is a good game to watch.
April 10 - Army ROTC
Soldier! Do you want to be a CSU Ram and a U.S. Army cadet at the same time?
Our CSU is ROTC
For Mike Lambert, Monika Lee, and John Farris, all three of them CSU students in the Army ROTC program, the answer to that question was a resounding "YES SIR!" As members of ROTC, these students are challenged both in school and . . . in the pool? That’s right; much of their training takes place in the water.
Check out this video of their training exercises to learn more about Mike, Monika and John’s MyCSU!
And there's more Kyle Bell
